WPT BPO Championship Qualifiers
The $350+$10 Single-Table Single-Hand Satellites were a big hit yesterday, so Borgata will be running as many as needed for interested players, beginning at 12 noon in the Event Center. The winner of each (1 out of 10) will talk away with $3,500 cash, just what they need to enter the Championship event!
The area just inside the Event Center doors is where they’ll be running, starting at noon, so come on down!
The last weekend of any Borgata Poker Open series is always busy but that activity is multiplied when the World Poker Tour comes to town. The WPT ‘Monster Booth’ is set up near the entrance to the Event Center and the WPT Champions Cup is also on display, meaning that the stakes are about to be raised over the next few days as one of poker’s biggest events will come together.
That WPT event doesn’t officially start until tomorrow and but there are two events coming back for Day 2 sessions and another two events starting up, meaning that potentially four BPO trophies are up for grabs today. Event 14 $1,000 ‘Six Max NLH’ will return with 28 players in the money, while the Event 15 ‘Seven Card Stud’ returns with 15 players remaining, still looking to make the final table and the money. Those Day 2 restarts will both come back at 12 PM, with a complete list of the remaining players and seating assignments coming shortly.
Before those restarts, another $100,000 ‘Saturday Series’ starts at 11 AM and will likely boast another massive field, just like last weekend’s event. Event 17 $1,500 ‘Turbo NLH’ begins on the other side of those restarts, with cards getting in the air for that event at 1 PM.
Those events will be previewed before they begin, providing players and blog followers with all the information they’ll need to start today’s events and for today’s restarts. Information about WPT BPO Championship qualifiers will be posted as well, with the first live qualifier beginning at 4 PM.
