Qualifiers
The $350+$10 Single-Table Single-Hand Satellites were a big hit yesterday, so Borgata will be running as many as needed for interested players, beginning at 12 noon in the Event Center. The winner of each (1 out of 10) will talk away with $3,500 cash, just what they need to enter the Championship event!
The area just inside the Event Center doors is where they’ll be running, starting at noon, so come on down!
Level 6 (Blinds 200/400/50)
Total Entries: 400
As players move towards there next break, there is one player in the field who is enjoying a pretty good last 12 hours.
Mike Dentale (Brooklyn, NY) was up late last night playing in the first of seven WPT Championship Qualifiers. Mike out lasted the field and won his $3,500 seat for just $350.
Mike was kind of sort of complaining that it was a late night and that he was a little tired, but it doesn’t seem to be negatively effecting his play, as he is one of the top stacks in Event 17.
Dentale has had success in previous WPT events, with a 51st place finish at Seminole Hard Rock in 2013 and a 20th place finish at FoxWoods in 2011, good for a total of $30,000 in winnings.
Add that to 15 cashes in the last year at the Borgata and this could be a good final week of the Borgata Poker Open for Dentale.
With the two live streamed Final Tables of Event 1 and Event 10 in the rearview mirror, the focus of the Borgata Poker Open and the poker world turn to the WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship Main Event.
