Sitting in hijack position and facing two early bets of 1,500, Gary Raina re-raised to 5,400 before the small blind pushed all-in, having Raina covered.
Action folded back around to Gary and he made the call with {Ah}{Ks}. With his opponent holding {Kd}{Kh}, Raina was a long shot to survive.
Flop: {Ad}{10s}{2d}
Turn: {6s}
River: {3h}
Raina got his ace on the flop and more than doubled up to about 45,000. Nothing close to the 700,000 he bagged at the end of Day 1 of Event 1, but a bag is a bag is a bag in this main event.

With 15 minutes left and well more than 400 players left in the field, the list of notables still out there is well over 50 players long.
We’ll see how many of them survive the next few minutes and actually bag chips for the night.
The current chip leader has 205,000, but expect that to change as players look to increase the number of chips they bag for Day 2.

UTG, UTG+1 and UTG+3 all limped the 600 big blind before cutoff raised to 3,000. Mike Brown made the call under the gun and Pofuk Ying came along at UTG+1 for a three-way flop.
Flop: {Qd}{9s}{6s}
Brown and Ying checked and Cutoff was once again the aggressor for 5,200. Brown had his trap set, though, and check-raised to 11,500. Ying got out of the hand before Cutoff pushed all-in for about 30,000. Brown immediately called.
Brown: {Ah}{Qh} Cutoff: {Kd}{Jh}
Unless he was really feeling that gutshot straight draw, he was on a stone cold bluff that got caught.
Turn: {8c}
River: {3h}
Cutoff’s 10 never came, and he was sent to the rail. Brown chips up to close to 100,000.

Play has entered into the final level of the night with a staggering 58 tables still in action.
We were lucky to catch the top 5 stacks who bagged last night, but that could be more of a challenge tonight.

Much has been written about Ebony Kenney by those of us on the blogging team without a wedding ring, but let’s throw some love Mike Gagliano’s way, eh?
Gagliano was also part of the live-stream team during the final table of the $1 million guaranteed Event 10 – this despite finishing in 2nd place of Event 12 at roughly 7am the night before that final table began play at 3pm.
He made $14,489 for that effort and is looking for another cash here in the main event.
Gagliano was recently noticed at a table near the front of the room as one of three players with cards showing on a board of {Kc}{2c}{3s} / {6d} / {6c}, and was the first to act as the small blind. Gagliano thought for a while about what to do before putting 6,800 chips into the pot. One of the other players folded, but the player on the button raised all-in and Mike instantly called with {3c}{3h} for the full house.
Gagliano isn’t loaded with chips at the moment – he roughly has the chip average – but he is loaded with experience, having cashed in 24 rated live tournaments for more than $650,000 in lifetime earnings.

With 30 minutes remaining in Level 7, the official word from the front desk is that a total of 1,226 entries were purchased for the Main Event, and that a payout structure probably won’t be available until tomorrow morning.
One thing’s for sure, though: surviving tonight is nothing close to a guarantee to cash in this event. The bubble will likely be somewhere in the 120 range, and we’re expecting close to 500 players to come back tomorrow.
One other thing is for sure: No overlay. We only needed 909 entrants to reach the $3 million guarantee, but it might as well have been a $4 million guarantee with 1,226 entrants.

It’s been a strong 2014 BPO for Jack Kashishian.
“Kash” won the Event 3 Deep Stack Bounty tournament Event 3, earning more than $45,000. He also placed 16th in Event 10 for another $5,000.
And from the looks of things, he’s fixing to Kash once again.
While taking down an uncontested pot, Kashishian was one of the dozens of players in the room watching the Monday Night Football game play out on one of the four projector screens hanging from the ceiling.
He isn’t the chip leader with 140,000 of them, but he’s certainly in the top 5% at this stage in the game.

On the first hand back from dinner break, Erik Cajelais got himself a pretty solid hand to play from the big blind.
UTG+3 raised to 1,200 pre-flop and Cajelais flat-called, bringing a flop of {5s}{3s}{2s}.
UTG+3 was again the aggressor, betting 2,100. Cajelais flat-called again, bringing the {8h} on the turn.
For a third time, UTG+3 pushed the issue after Erik checked, betting 4,500. And for a third time, Cajelais flat-called.
After the {Ah} on the river, it was Cajelais’ turn to be aggressive (sort of), betting 4,000. UTG+3 made the call and Cajelais flipped up two pair with {Ad}{3x}. His opponent showed the {As} for a pair made on the river and a steel wheel draw from the flop, but threw his other card into the muck.
Cajelais chipped up to about 60,000.
In other news, a 64th table has opened, and Tab Duchateau has announced 1,226 entrants for this tournament. Not sure if that’s a final number just yet, but it will be posted as soon as possible.
