Event 17 of the Borgata Poker Open is a $1,000+$60+$500 Super Knockout Turbo NLH event. There are 155 total entries creating a total prizepool of $150,350.
We are inching closer to the money bubble as the final 18 players will all make the cash and be guaranteed at least $2,255. We will be crowning our newest BPO champion tonight and one lucky winner will take home $44,353 and the BPO trophy.

The top three Event 17 chip stacks have already earned plenty of cash collecting $500 bounties. Agostino “Augi” Oliva is holding the chip lead with about 525,000 and he has also collected the most bounties.
Oliva has already eliminated 12 players adding a $6,000 boost to his bankroll. Baitai Li got off to a fast start and is showing know signs of slowing down. Li is now playing close to 500,000 and has collected seven $500 bounties in the process.
Dave “Baby Belichick” Stefanski has caught fire in the last level and is now playing about 325,000. After scoring his latest knockout Stefanski added his seventh $500 bounty to the side of his monster stack.

Jonathan Little raises to 3,000 and the player next to act calls. Mike Wang moves all in for 11,400 and Dan Walsh calls from the button. It folds back to Little who calls and the player next to act calls.
All three players check down the runout. “I have a ten” announces Walsh turning over
and Wang tables his
. Little and the other player fold their hands and Walsh’s pair of tens is enough to earn him the knockout.
Wang is sent to the rail and Walsh scoops the pot along with his $500 bounty chip.

The action folds to a player in late positon and she raises to 2,400. Steve Piper is next to act in the cutoff and he re-raises to 5,700. The button folds and Baitai Li moves all in from the big blind for about 145,000.
The original raiser folds and Piper snap calls for his last 22,750 turning over . Li is in bad shape holding
and the
runout is no help to Li. Piper’s pocket rockets hold up to earn him the pot and the double up.

There is already over 20,000 in the main pot on a board reading . Sharman Olshan checks to Zhaoxing Wang and he moves all in for 23,100.
Olshan goes deep into the tank and after about a minute she makes the call. “Good call” Wang says turning over for just jack high and Olshan shows
for a set of eights. Olshan scoops the pot and collects Wang’s $500 as he is sent to the rail.

In one of the first hands back from the break we caught up to the heads up action on flop of . Matt Stout checks and his opponent bets 7,000 into a main pot of about 9,000.
Stout check raises all in for 18,675 and his opponent makes the call.

Cruise control is the perfect way to describe Givens at the event 17 final table. Givens came into the final table just shy of the chip lead and never looked back. This Borgata title only adds to the incredible year Givens is already having, making this his 3rd largest cash of the year. He finished 1st and 4th in No Limit events this summer at the WSOP for $306,634 and $84,680. Today Givens will take home $49,894 for his 1st place finish and a Borgata Poker Open trophy.
Khaled Alwan will take home $28,049 for his 2nd place finish in event 17.
