It took a little while to get there but Event 3 is finally in the money with 72 players remaining. The tournament went into hand-for-hand mode when it was one away from the money with the clock paused and two minutes coming off per hand.
There were two early, small doubles but it took five hands over 30 minutes for the bubble to burst.
And it was almost a double bubble.
Greg Yeager was all in and at risk for his last approximate 175,000 after the flop. His
was in trouble against his opponent’s trip queens
and the
turn did not help. The table erupted when the two-out
river hit the board and Yeager had a double.
On another table, also with a flop out, WSOP bracelet winner Michael Wang was all in for 56,000 with the board reading . “Psycho Marc” Masino had him at risk but Wang’s two pair
was ahead of Masino’s two pair
. The
turn was clean for Wang but it was another tough river, the
, to fill Masino’s boat to send Wang out on the bubble.

Black Chip Bounty players took their first break of the day as tournament staff pulled the 500 denom chips out of play and neaten up some stacks.
There are only 80 players still in the game with 72 getting paid so the money bubble is quickly approaching. Those still in contention include Jackie Liu and Jon Borenstein (pictured) along with Eric Seigel, Zach Donovan, and Jose Reyes.
