A deep run for early leader Ray Jamison just ended.
On a low board in O8, Baruch Krieger and Jamison reraised until Ray was all in.
Ray turned over , but the low cards filled in Krieger’s wheel draw.
Krieger, clearly determined to win, pounded the table avidly.
Baruch, whose stack had dipped a bit from its peak, is now back in charge with over 150,000.
We’re down to three tables.

On table 72, Patricia Yannuzzi, with plenty of chips in the early levels, had dwindled well below average when she got her money in good with top trips three way on the turn in Omaha8.
Unfortunately for her, there’s a river card in O8.
Poised for a triple and a breather, Jeff “Taxman” Moses binked a middle straight on the paired board while dodging a full house.
Unfortunately, nothing aside from death is as certain as more taxes, they say. Within an orbit, Jeff had been given an invoice at showdown and was compelled to redistribute a third of his stack.
He’s still kicking at around 50,000 as we hit four tables of players.

Bob Camano on busy table 71 has joined the chip leaders.
Already a rising stack, he busted a shortie by turning over a deuce on seventh, completing an open ended straight and low draw in Stud8.
Two hands later, it was Tim Philip’s time to go. Again with Kings, but this time in o8, Monty Dennis outflopped him, making a set of fours.
Dennis just called on the flop, allowing Philip to continue on the turn.

Dennis, background, observes his middle set before the turn is dealt. Philip, in red, will need help on the turn or river.
No two outer for his high oriented holding, and it was a needed pot for Monty instead, who gets back to average stacked.

However, Justin Finberg has just moved to Lonnie’s table. Finberg is around 100,000 after taking from Heimowitz in a blind on blind encounter between the two large stacks.
In O8, with Justin taking the big, Lonnie completed the small while Finberg checked his option.
Lonnie led an unfriendly board, the , likely hinting at a pair and some backdoor possibilities. Finberg called.

Justin Finberg, now on 73. Chris Reslock is there as well, now getting short. Justin is coming off a string of split pot Borgata final tables.
Turn , bringing in the low draw Lonnie might want. However, without the raise pre, it was likely Heimowitz’ draw was not nutted. He now check-called Finberg, and then again on the
.
Finberg turned over for the flopped second nuts.
We take a break.

Stefan Bowles, red all-in button, awaits the runout. Tim Philip checks his cards and contemplates the seventh street action in a four-way pot.
Meanwhile, back on 71, where Dorsey has joined Jim A. and his Pineapple game, Stefan Bowles was all in by 5th street and had to depend on the dealer.

Saved. Philip holds his hole cards in disappointment at his runout. Erik Schimdt, foreground, ends up with the side.
At that point, Schmidt was all in as well, for the side pot. His middle rundown possibilities ended with two pair, still beating Philip’s kings.
Bowles, however, had found the perfect card, a , giving him the wheel to scoop the main pot. Both all-ins survive.
In the next hand, a bit of trouble.

Floormen Jamie and Kevin resolve a sticky situation. Albert Dorsey, who won the big pot before dinner, is at left.
Jim A. on Dorsey’s right, is over 75,000, which is one of the big stacks. Dorsey was forced to fold a pair of tens on the river in Bowles’ scoop, leaving him with more earth-bound 25,000.

As level 10 finished and the first dozen were eliminated post-reg, at least one survived on Ray Jamison’s table.
First, Nathan Vascones showed down a live 6 to get a chop with a pair of kings.
Then, Larry Gold rode a spade runout to the river, picking on the lead on sixth with the , then getting a fold on the river against Vascones.
In the next hand, it was Jamison’s turn to take on Gold. The action when bet call on fourth with Jamison showing , but when the next street gave Gold a promising low rundown, Ray relented to Larry’s pressure.
Larry laughed and showed in the hole for the nut straight and a low – he had wanted more action.
On the first hand of O8, Bruce Cohen in seat 8 was at risk. He led the river on . Called in two places reluctantly, Cohen declared he had it –
were his best cards.
The nuts gave Cohen nearly 20,000 and tournament life.

We go to dinner break – and the final chance to get into the mix.
Dorsey turned over the second nut low and a straight in a multiway pot with raises on the river – it’s good.
Seat 8 had folded disgustedly what was apparently a set, saving a bet.
We return at 9:05 pm for post-registration play.
