Eric Rowen

When the final three Event 10 players returned from break they began to discuss an adjusted payout deal. The stacks were counted down and it didn’t take long for them to come to an agreement.

Eric Rowen who held the chip lead will take first place for $40,387 and the trophy. This is Rowen’s largest career score and his first Borgata Poker Open title.

Jeff Cole earns $33,500 for his second place finish and Mikhail Mironenko will take home $28,722 for his third place finish.

Kym Lim

Eric Rowen raised to 800,000 from the button and Kym Lim moved all in from the small blind for 8,050,000. Jeff Cole folded his big blind and Rowen snap called.

Lim tabled her but was dominated by the of Rowen. The dealer fanned the flop and Rowen paired his ace to put a hammerlock on the hand.

The turn was the improving Rowen to trip aces leaving Lim drawing dead. The meaningless hit the river and Lim was eliminated in 4th place earning $15,715 for her efforts.

Soukha Kachittavong

Soukha Kachittavong moved all in from under the gun for his last 775,000. Eric Rowen called from the big blind and the cards were shown.

Kym Lim

Kym Lim raised to 600,000 from under the gun and it folded to Eric Rowen in the small blind. Rowen re-raised to 1,600,000 and Lim moved all in for 4,415,000.

Rowen quickly called turning over but he was dominated by Lim’s . The dealer fanned the flop and Rowen picked up a gutshot straight draw to go along with his over card.

The turn and river were no help to Rowen and Lim earned the double up.

Zuri Korfald

Eric Rowen raised to 700,000 from the button and Soukha Kachittavong moved all in for about 3,400,000 from the small blind. Zuri Kornald put his lasat 565,000 in the middle from the big blind and Rowen folded.

Mikhael Mironenko

In the very last hand before the break Mikhael Mironenko and Jeff Cole were involved in a battle of the blinds. All of Mironenko’s 4,020,000 chips ended up in the middle pre-flop holding from the big blind.

It was a cooler for Cole who showed from the small blind and the runout sealed the deal for Mironenko who earned the massive double up.

Noel Alicea

Noel Alicea moved all in for 570,000 from the cutoff and Eric Rowen called from the small blind. Soukha Kachittavong called from the big and they checked down the runout.

“Ace high” announced Rowen turning over and Soukha mucked. Alicea doubled checked his hole cards and flashed his before tossing his hand into the muck.
