The second Event 10 flight is filling fast and it’s a full house here in the Signature Room. Men “The Master” Nguyen is among the latest Day 1B arrivals.
Nguyen is a living legend in the poker world and his list of accomplishments reads more like a novel. He holds a staggering 7 WSOP bracelets and WSOP Circuit rings.
Nguyen had a hot Summer notching six cashes at the World Series of Poker.
He followed that up with a 3rd place finish in August’s $5,000 WPT Gardens NLH Main Event earning $270,430 and he’s now earned just shy of $11,000,000 throughout his storied poker career.

Justin Leeds is just two days removed from his largest career tournament and his first major victory. Leeds was part of a four-way deal in Event 1 in which he took home $170,535 along with the Borgata Poker Open trophy.
He has taken his seat here in the second Event 10 flight and it looked very familiar to him. As luck would have it Leeds is seated at Table 63 Seat 3.
This just so happens to be the very seat in which Leeds won his Event 1 title on Saturday night.
“Maybe it’s a sign” Leeds joked as he returned from the break and we’ll just have to wait and see.

Flight B of the Deepest Stack is getting underway in the Signature Room and will overlap the end of Flight A. Survivors of both flights return Tuesday at 12 noon for Day 2. Tables 59-83 are in Signature, but any overflow, tables 84 and higher, will be out in the temporary Tournament Area.
Players start with 40,000 chips and all levels are 30 minutes long. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of level 13 (about 11:45pm).
They’ll play 16 levels, then bag up for the night (about 1:45am).
As you may or may not have heard, the 2018 Borgata Poker Open will be running in a new temporary tournament area. Instead of the Event Center where we have been in the past, BPO tournaments will be running on tables in the Signature Room, the Poker Room, and a new Tournament Area in between.
The slot machines have been removed from this area and poker tables are in. This new setup is just for this series and in January we’ll be back in the Event Center for the 2019 Winter Poker Open.
This new tournament area is perfectly situated between Bread and Butter on one side and the escalator to the Marketplace Eatery on the other, giving players quick and easy access to refreshments. It’s also just a few steps to the Race and Sports Book for those who need to place a bet and the North Entrance, for those who need to step outside for some fresh air.
Online registration is closed, but on-site registration begins at 12 noon Monday, September 3rd and will remain open until midnight. Beginning Tuesday, registration will be open from 8am to midnight daily throughout the series at the Cashier windows across from the entrance to Bobby Flay’s.
