Day 1A of Event 1 drew a total of 288 entries and there are 40 players moving on to Day 2. It’s Reggies at the top of the chip counts with a massive stack of 637,000.
Jones took control of the chip lead early and never looked back winning a massive pot with pocket kings in one of the last hands of the night.
Mike Niceta sits in second with 439,000 and Jason Eisele rounds out the top three Day 1A chip stacks with 438,000.

Simon Lam was one of the last Day 1A entries and he is one of the most accomplished players in the field. Lam is fresh off his largest score in July when he took down the $5,000 WPT Gardens Poker Festival NLH Main Event in Los Angeles.
Lam bested the stacked 584 entry field defeating Jake Schindler heads up to earn $565,055 and his first WPT title. His second largest career score came here at The Borgata during April’s Borgata Spring Poker Open.
He fell just short of his first Borgata Poker title finishing second to Sam Taylor in the $2,700 BSPO NLH Main Event. Lam took home over $219,000 for his runner up finish and has now earned nearly $2,000,000 throughout his illustrious poker career.
Lam is off to a good start and has already chipped up to 45,000 in his first level of play.
