Jason Rivkin found a double up through Barry Hutter and is nearing the top of the chip counts only a few players away from two table play in the Six-Max event.
All three Six-Max tables have been action-packed, as is the nature of the game, but Table 1 featuring Barry Hutter, Vincent Moscati, Sonny Kim and Jason Rivkin may be the most action-packed of them all. With his chip-leading stack, Hutter hasn’t been shy about putting his opponents to the test. Rivkin, however, got the better of Hutter and is over 450,000 as a result.
Picking up the action on a {qh}{7c}{2h}{8c} board, Hutter checked to Rivkin who bet 23,000 and was raised by Hutter to 65,000. Rivkin then shoved all-in for his tournament life and Hutter called for about 150,000 more with {qd}{10d} and was behind Rivkin’s {kc}{qc}. The river card was the {6c} and Rivkin moved up to 450,000, good for his peak On Day 2.
Despite the setback, Hutter eliminated Kal Alwan a few hands later to bring the field down to 14 players. Hutter is sitting with about 500,000 as Vincent Moscati has taken the lead at the table and is playing over 700,000.

Dan Sewnig has every reason to smile as he found a double up with pocket aces to put him at his tournament peak in the Six-Max event.
With 30 big blinds coming into Day 2 play, Dan Sewnig certainly didn’t need to make a move early, but finding an early double up certainly wouldn’t be high on his list of complaints. Sewnig managed to get maximum value from aces, aka, “The Blades,” and is now at his Six-Max peak.
From under the gun, Joseph Stuckey put in a raise to 17,000 and was three-bet by Sewnig to 45,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Stuckey, who called to see the flop.
The flop came down {jc}{6s}{3s} and Stuckey led out for 25,000. Sewnig put in a raise to 54,000, leaving himself with about 60,000 behind. Stuckey put Sewnig all-in for that last 60,000 and Sewnig called, flipping over {ad}{ah}. Stuckey was left to show {10d}{10s} and was drawing to a two-outer to send Sewnig out.
The {3h} turn and {2h} river did not help Stuckey and he drops to 120,000 while Sewnig can finally breathe a little after being short for most of Day 1.

Vinny Pahuja is over the 400,000 mark early on Day 2 after finding an early double with pocket kings.
BorgataPoker.com ambassador Vinny Pahuja came into the day as one of a few players with previous winner’s circle experience. That very experience gives Pahuja an edge in knowing when to pick his spots based on the flow of a tournament. Pahuja just took advantage of one of those very spots and found a double as a result.
George Alberto opened the cutoff with a raise and action folded to Pahuja who bumped up the action to 38,000 from the big blind. Alberto called and the two players saw a {qc}{8d}{3s} flop. Pahuja continued to push the action, betting 30,000. Alberto took an inventory of Pahuja’s stack and slid out a raise that was barely enough to Pahuja at risk.
Pahuja didn’t waste much time calling for his tournament life and turned over {kd}{ks} and Alberto’s {kh}{jc} drawing as thin as it gets. The turn was a brick and Pahuja is hovering near the 400,000 mark while Alberto drops to 420,000.

While the WPT BPO Championship will be the headlining event next week, as over $3,000,000 will be up for grabs, the $1,000 Six Max event is always one of the favorites of the high stakes community. Big name players usually mark this event as the first they’ll play of the series, coming in a few days before the WPT begins to not only get a piece of a decent prize pool but also to compete against the country’s best.
They’ve done so again and the BPO Pro Bowl will return at 12 PM, with 17 players looking to navigate their way, first to the live streamed final table, and then to a BPO championship. Barry Hutter will lead the way with over 800,000 chips but Nicholas Immekus and reigning WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen are right on his tail with 725,000 and 615,000 respectively.
While those three will headline today’s restart, this deep structure should allow for tons of play regardless of stack size, meaning that this Day 2 session will be a tactical affair from the start.

Alberto Sabogali raises from under the gun and a player in middle position makes the call. Ricky Guan defends from the big blind and they go three handed to the {ad}{8s}{10s} flop. Guan checks and Sabogali slides out a bet of 11,500.
The middle position player calls and with the action back on Guan he check raises to 34,500. Sabogali quickly folds and the middle position player thinks for a few moments before moving all in. Guan makes the call for his last 102,600 and the hands are shown.
Guan: {8c}{8d}
Opponent: {ah}{jd}
Guan shows a set of eights and his opponent will need running cards to score the knockout. The turn {5c} seals the deal for Guan and the meaningless {4d} completes the board. Guan’s set of eights earn him the pot and the double up.
