Katie Stone and Gaiane Petrossian have something different to talk about at the table beside the standard chatter about big hands and bad beats. The Borgata regulars found themselves sitting next to each other in the Saturday Series and soon realized they had something very real in common.
Both are the proud mothers of three-year-olds and both work to balance time between their role as a parent and the poker grind. Stone, a BorgataPoker.com sponsored pro, trades tournament days with her poker pro husband Joey Cappuccio while Petrossian, who has twin three-year-olds at home, takes some time on the weekends to make her way through the big fields. They are two fine examples of successful women able to find a way to be great parents while staying sharp at the table.
Unfortunately for Petrossian, she was knocked out of the Saturday Series by Stone in a mom-versus-mom battle. Stone is up to 160,000 and Petrossian took a seat in the big prize Super Survivor tournament.
