Event 4 of the Borgata Summer Poker drew a massive field of 3,106 creating a prize pool of $1,626,923. We were down to the final four players and the chips continued to change hands.
After more than an hour of four handed play the players began to discuss and adjusted payout deal. It didn’t take long for them to agree to split the remaining prize pool evenly.
The players shook hands and all four took home $170,535. Justin Leeds who held the chip lead at the time takes home his first Borgata Poker Open trophy.
Leeds had just two recorded tournament cashes prior to this for just over $5,000 and now adds a hefty six figure score and the BPO title to his poker resume.
Below is a look at the chip stacks at the time of the adjusted payout agreement.
Justin Leeds- 28,300,000
Donny Maloney- 19,800,000
Jacob Naumann- 17,200,000
