It’s just one week until the 15th Annual Borgata Poker Open tournament series kicks off in the Event Center with the $2 Million Guaranteed Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em event! Long lines are expected at registration, so take advantage of online registration, which remains open until Friday, September 1st. On-site registration will be available beginning Monday, September 4th from 12 noon until midnight, in the Poker Room. Registration will re-open Tuesday morning in the Event Center Lobby at 8am and remain open until midnight daily throughout the series.
There are six starting flights for this event, spread out over the first three days of the series. Flights A & B will run Tuesday at 11am and 5pm, respectively. Wednesday will see flights C & D take off at the same times. Thursday, which is expected to be the busiest, will run flights E & F at 10am and 7pm. Seating is limited, so register early!
Last year, Noel Martinez emerged triumphant over the field of 3,869 entrants for 1st place prize money of more than $286,000*! His victory earned him one of 19 trophies awarded during last year’s series.

This year the BPO will see the return of all the favorite No Limit Hold’em tournaments along with a couple of non-Hold’em events. The 4th Annual Mike ‘Little Man’ Sica Memorial Seniors No Limit Hold’em event will run on Sunday, September 10th. Other returning favorites include the Almighty Million and the Super Stack Elevator NLH event, along with the $1,000 Six Max NLH event, which carries a $200,000 Guarantee. This year’s Heads-Up NLH event has a $1,500 buy-in and is limited to 64 entrants. The two non-Hold’em Main Events are Event 7, Pot Limit Omaha, and Event 10, Omaha/Stud High/Low Mix.
A new post-lim event has been added, running alongside Day 2 of the Championship. This year’s Second Chance event is a $1,000+$60+$500 Eight-Max Turbo Super KO Bounty NLH tournament. Event 17 will put a Purple Chip Bounty on each player’s head. They’ll play at eight-handed tables until they reach the final nine.
Of course the pinnacle of the series is the $3 Million Guaranteed World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open Championship, which has two starting flights running Sunday, September 17th and Monday, September 18th. The final table will take place Friday the 22nd and will be live-streamed and filmed for later broadcast by the WPT.
