The action was picked up with Aaron Overton raising to 260,000 from early position and play would fold to Jean Gaspard, who would make the call from the small blind.
Gaspard only left himself with 490,000 behind, and the rest of the table shot each other glances at the “odd” call.
The flop would come down {Ad}{6h}{7d} and Gaspard would move all-in, putting himself at risk of missing the televised Final Table if Overton were to call and win the hand.
Overton didn’t like the spot and made it clear when he rolled his eyes and said, “None of it makes sense, none of it.” while shaking his head.
He eventually folded and Gaspard showed {2h}{2d}, just to needle Overton who claimed to fold pocket eights.
While annoyed that Overton didn’t make the call and that play was still continuing, the table all had to laugh at Gaspard’s crazy antics after the hand.
Gaspard would stand and shout, “God Bless America!” and say, “You not going to keep me off the tv.”
He has some of his swagger back, but not many of his chips, as he is still sitting with just over 1,000,000.
