Level 10 (600/1,200/200)
Total Entrants: 172
The Event 20 field is pushing near 175 entrants toward the end of registration. Players will soon be on a short break and will return to play down toward a final table. Once the prize pool is announced, the results will be posted on the Borgata Poker Open blog.
Any players who max-late regs today’s event will have more than 20 big blinds to work with and will have close to 100 players left in front of them to navigate their way to a potential victory.
Level 9 (500/1,000/100)
Total Entrants: 162
With the field continuing to grow in the back half of the Event Center, quite a few familiar faces are among the field attempting to make another deep run in the second-to-last BPO event.
Among the field is Kenny “Super Tuan” Nguyen. Nguyen was among the early chip leaders yesterday and parlayed that into a final table finish. Already today, Nguyen is mixing it up as he attempts to reach back-to-back final tables.
As the end of the registration period nears, we will keep an eye on Super Tuan along with some of the other notables in the field.
Level 7 (300/600/75)
Total Entrants: 146
The Event 20 Deeper Stack field is on their second break of the day and $50,000 guarantee is only a few entries away from being hit. Registration is open until the start of Level 11 (4:30 pm) and once the prize pool is announced, it will be posted on the Borgata Poker Open blog.
All players who enter in the later stages of registration will have a more than workable starting stack of 35,000, thanks in part to the Deeper Stack structure.
The BPO blog will keep its primary focus on the BPO Championship and eventually shift toward Event 20 as the field nears the money.
Level 1 (50/100)
The second-to-last event of the Borgata Poker Open is underway with the Deeper Stack tournament. Yesterday’s Deep Stack drew a field of over 600 players and we expect today’s $50,000 guaranteed to have a similar prize pool.
Players start their one-day event with 35,000 chips and will play 30-minute levels through the entirety of the event. Registration is open until the start of Level 11 (4:30 pm) and the prize pool will be decided shortly after then. A full structure sheet can be found here.
Primary coverage on the BPO blog will focus on Day 4 of the BPO Championship and we will pick up Event 20 after the prize pool is announced.
