After the two-table redraw, tournament staff restarted the clock and there were three quick bustouts before they warmed up their new seats.
On Table 2, Mario Concepcion lost most of this stack when he had Ragavan Thiagarajah all in and at risk. Thiagarajah was dominated with against before he flopped an open-ended straight draw on the board. It filled on the turn and Concepcion was down to crumbs. He was all in on the next hand but his could not catch against Jeffrey Trudeau’s to send him out in 17th place.
At the same time on Table 1, Mohamed MD opened to 205,000 from under the gun and Pofuk Ying moved all in from middle position for 970,000. Action folded back around the Mohamed MD and he called after thinking it through for a few minutes. Mohamed MD had a huge lead with against and nothing on the board could save Ying’s tournament, dropping him out in 16th place.
Not to be left out of the fun, Table 2 had another all in on the next hand when Jim Lai open-shoved for ~400,000 from early position and Ephraim Uzan called from the big blind without asking for a count. Lai turned over and groaned when he saw Uzan’s . The small pair was in trouble against the slightly bigger pair and Lai never caught a sweat as the board came to knock him out in 15th place.
15th: Jim Lai – $1,901
16th: Pofuk Ling – $1,310
17th: Mario Concepcion – $1,310
